Course Meeting Times

Lectures: 2 sessions / week, 1.5 hours / session

Course Requirements

Students taking this course are required to complete ten homework assignments and two quizzes. In-class demonstrations will be used to reinforce concepts covered in class. Reading assignments will be taken from the textbook:

Buy at Amazon Kong, J. A. Electromagnetic Wave Theory. Cambridge, MA: EMW, 2005. ISBN: 0966814398.

Late Homework Policy

Homeworks are due in Thursday lectures. The following describes the percentage of credit that will be given for late homework:

  1. Turned in by Thursday 5pm: 100% (homework box in the class)
  2. Turned in between Thursday 5pm and Friday 9am: 50%
  3. Turned in after Friday 9am: 25% (given to TA)

Special cases should be discussed with your TA (preferably before the homework is officially due).

Grading

The final grade will be calculated based on the following weights:
